There are many resources available to support understanding of e-safety rules, but sometimes there is a risk of confusing pupils who would be required to understand different pictures and word meanings.
A possible strategy to help with this would be to use a consistent set of symbol-like resources across school contexts. The SEN ICT team has worked in collaboration with the Primary ICT and hands-on support teams, the Kent-wide e-safety strategy group and the kenttrustweb.org.uk team to produce a set of visual resources that are explicit and should be clear for pupils learning e-safety vocabulary.
