 The objectives of the Strategy, Policy and Performance Division are to:

• Advise and support KCC Members and senior officers on Policy and Service Development and legislative change
• Lead planning processes within the Directorate including Business Planning and overarching strategic plans, ensuring linkages to Corporate Priorities and Strategies
• Lead performance management processes within the Directorate to meet KCC and external requirements including OfSTED and the Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA) process
• Oversee and co-ordinate evaluative activity across the Directorate ensuring data and intelligence systems are used to maximum effect
• Provide project management and lead on specific service developments to support raising attainment and community regeneration initiatives
• Maximise external funding to support key Directorate priorities
• Manage the Directorate consultation processes
• Co-ordinate the Directorate's work for Cabinet and Scrutiny purposes and support KCC Members in the decision-making process
• Provide links and contribute to core inter-agency partnerships and developments
• Contribute to and support the directorate's Community Development strategy and the development of Extended Services
