Kent County Council, Children, Families and Education have a dedicated International Development Unit to advise on international partnership activities and professional development opportunities.

Our Vision:

"To encourage and empower the learning and achievement of the young people of Kent within a global environment uninhibited and unrestricted by international boundaries and cultural mores".

Our activities include:

  • Promoting and creating international training and development opportunities
  • Supporting the development of the global dimension
  • Providing advice and guidance on funding
  • Advising on safe visits abroad
  • Developing lifelong learning opportunities
  • Promoting and supporting the DCSF International School Award
  • Advising on and assisting Kent schools to arrange links and exchanges
  • Working with partners within and beyond Kent to develop collaborative approaches
