Research in Practice is an interactive learning platform that offers access to a library of evaluated research, infromation and practice tools and offers the opportunity for you to network online with researchers and other local authorities.

Community Care Inform
Community Care Inform is an online research tool which aims to help professionals working with children and young people make, and evidence, their decisions. It provides expert-written research digests, case law and policy updates.
This resource is only available to newly qualified social workers, PCA Team Leaders. Principle Social Workers, District Managers and those undertaking specialist awards or consolidation modules. Please contact your principle social worker if you wish to access the site.
Social Care Online
Social Care Online is a free database of social care information. It allows you to search for research briefings, reports, government documents and journal articles, events and uesful websites. Where full text is not available it may be useful to contact the social services library to see if they can access the article/information for you.
Athens
The Athens service provides online access to a variety of databases via an assigned username and password. These access details will then provide you with full text access to over 2000 journals including the Journal of Community Nursing, British Journal of Social Work, The Journal of Mangement Development, The American Journal of Occupational Therapy and Journal of Public Mental Health.
