Qualification Information: Listed below are 3 documents which may help you understand the levels of qualifications needed for the SWC.  As from November 2011 you will need to include qualifications at NQF Level 4 and above for all staff:

Change from Kent Scheme to Kent Range:  For schools that use SIMS, KCC are advising schools to set up the new Kent Range Service Term as per EiS iInformation Notice 11-E09 but please do not assimilate staff onto the new Kent Range until after the Census has been run.  Please remember, however, to input the April 2011 increments into the system on the Kent Scheme Service Term.  More information about the assimilation process will be sent out in the Autumn but in the meantime you can get further information from the EIS powerpoint from the SIMS Users Forums run in May and June.  Voluntary Controlled and Community Schools are obliged to assimilate their staff and Voluntary Aided and Foundation Schools are encourage to adopt the scheme.
