Forces in Action
Know that weight is a force and is measured in newtons; describe some situations in which there is more than one force acting on an object; draw diagrams to illustrate forces acting on an object
Children use a force meter to weigh a series of objects using a force meter, first when suspended in air then when suspended in water. Results are entered in a spreadsheet and a graph representing their results could be produced.

Direct2U Lesson Plan
This activity from the BBC Science Clips series provides an environment for conducting a virtual experiment. A toy truck can be rolled down a ramp in a variety of conditions allowing hypotheses to be tested. A worksheet is provided for this activity.
