Unit 2e:
Forces and Movement

Describe how to use pushes and pulls to make familiar objects speed up, slow down, or change direction or shape; recognise that pushes and pulls are forces; plan a comparison and decide whether it was fair; make measurements of length using standard units and present these in a chart.

The children investigate how the height of a ramp affects the distance travelled by toy cars released from the top. The teacher enters their results into a computer graphing program and presents them as a bar chart. The chart is used to analyse the result and aid explanation.
