Key areas for ICT in Geography

ICT is a valuable tool in the teaching of Geography. BECTa and the Geographical Association have identified key areas in which ICT may support learning in Geography.

How can ICT help pupils' learning in geography?

  • Gaining access to a wider range of geographical knowledge and information
  • Deepening understanding of geographical patterns and relationships
  • Experiencing alternative images of people, places and environments
