Multi-draw

The child may try to perfect the drawing, either by erasure and correction if working in pencil or by redrawing several times if given a non-erasable drawing tool. The child is trying to improve the drawing rather than explore design ideas. The drawing may not, therefore, necessarily inform the making, although this is the case for the two examples shown here.

Year 1:
This little boy has had several attempts at drawing his figure, which he has then copied onto card and decorated.
Year 3:
This girl has had two attempts at perfecting her drawing before making her model.
