Multi-design

This is typical of the divergent child, who can produce lots of ideas and settle on none. The design sheet will be filled with different ideas, some related more closely than others. The object which they make is frequently yet another different idea. The child has grasped the idea that the paper can be used to try out lots of ideas, but without evaluation and choice of "the one".

Year 2:
This boy has tried out a whole range of ideas, including some suggested by his friend. The one he finally chose is the left hand drawing in the second row. After drawing the image, complete with swirly patterns on the body, he decorated it with green felt over the top of the drawn decoration.
