Number Squares in MS Word

Neil Wallace used MS Word to create a variety of number squares. He describes how he has used them with his class. A selection of the squares may be downloaded. Neil's report has full instructions on adapting them for use with your own class.

A3 and A4 grids have been created, for various teaching purposes. Each set includes standard line and column formats, and various spiral arrangements. Blank grids may be filled in by typing on screen, or by hand on a printed copy.

Children may produce their own versions of the squares, leading to ICT enrichment as well as furthering their understanding of number sequences and patterns.
