Domino Loop Cardswith teachers' notes
Numeracy Strategy: Rapid recall of multiplication facts
Used as mental maths activities to reinforce multiplication bonds and associated vocabulary. Also used as an activity in the main lesson by a small group to reinforce multiplication bonds.

Hundred Square /Multiplication Square
Numeracy Strategy: Properties of number and number sequences/ negative numbers
Used as teacher resource and as activities in Numeracy hour to investigate number patterns. Activities can be completed on screen or as a paper based resource. Change font style or colour to highlight number pattern. Change font style or colour to show pairs of numbers equal to 100. Individual numbers, rows or columns deleted from number square, children to predict and enter correct values in hundred square using a different font style or colour.
Negative number square used in similar activities. Highlight and explain multiplication patterns, for example: multiples of 4 form a symmetrical pattern.

Place Value Cards:ones, tens, hundreds, thousands
Numeracy Strategy: Place Value
The cards are featured on Page 30 of the National Numeracy Strategy. Two-, three- or four-digit numbers may be built up by overlapping cards of different widths.

Quadrilateral Game

Working in groups of two or three turn a set of playing cards face down. Turn three cards each time to match shape, name and properties. (Follow up with the floor turtle and
