The project was a continuation of an established link with the school that I had made during the first year of owning a BECTa laptop. During this year we had individual children making personal contact through e-mails, the use of picture and sound attachments and conventional mail. In July the two classes met at London Zoo. This was sponsored by donations from BECTa, Volkswagen Audi Group and the school PTAs. BECTa complimented our involvement and the children's positive attitudes to a new medium of communication.

Objectives
To enable children to use ICT with confidence
To send e-mail, and understand that others will receive our messages
To understand that information can be presented in different forms, such as grids, descriptions and pictures
To support the development of speaking and listening skills
