Internet Safety

We used Google to research sites. Always make sure Google's safe search is turned on.

Searches for authors' names usually turn up good results, due to the specific nature of the search. If pupils carry out their own searches, they may need to include other keywords - there's more than one Lucy Daniels in the world!

Pupils must always be supervised when searching. Our list has been checked, but we have not followed every link on every page! Major sites for children, such as Achuka and Stories From the Web, may reliably be regarded as safe. Others may have been written for a wider audience. Be especially cautious about 'fan' sites - adult material may only be one click away.
