Activity 5 – Editing Audio

There are several ways that the user can edit the audio files they have created or imported on the screen.

How to delete a short audio clip

1. Load the chosen Podium Project and display the chosen audio file
2. Position the cursor at the point on sound wave line where you wish to edit the clip
   
   
   
   
   
   
3. Click and drag the cursor to highlight the audio clip you wish to delete
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. Select the delete key to confirm your selection

   Or

Select the crop key to instead delete the audio clips either side of the highlighted bar and to leave the highlighted sound wave line unchanged

To clear your selection

1. If you decide not to delete the highlighted bar click on the white arrow to clear your selection

Adjusting the volume

1. The volume of a chapter can be temporarily adjusted by using the volume slider on the right hand side of the screen
2. Or permanently by adjusting the tabs on the blue bar above the wave line

 

To increase or decrease the sound at different points move the tabs up and down

 

A straight line will indicate the volume is the same while any variations will depict changes to the volume
