The children will:

• Use maps and aerial photographs to locate buildings and places of interest in the local area

• Use the Internet to research environmental issues

• Use a range of field skills to collect and record evidence

• Use ICT to present and share results with others

• Use the Internet to research information about ponds and pond life

• Design a questionnaire “where should we situate a new pond” for visitors to the Centre to complete

• Visit the Rare Breeds Centre at Woodchurch

• Used digital cameras at The Centre to record different types of land-use and wildlife

• Participate in a class debate on “where the new pond should be situated”

• Used ICT to design and create an Environmental questionnaire

• Used Microsoft PowerPoint to present their proposed pond design to others

• Used e-mail to share their results with staff at The Rare Breeds Centre
