Kent ICT: Ready Register 2010
The Ready Register has been around for a number of years now. It has proved really useful, but it did have flaws. One such flaw was the method of saving names. It was never very obvious how the names were saved. Also, RM networks did not always allow this register to store these names. With these things in mind Kent ICT has a new Ready Register.

View of files downloaded

If you download this resource you will need to extract / unzip it first. Then you will find a folder called 'Ready Register 2010'.

Inside the Ready Register 2010 folder you will find three files:

  1. class list
  2. Ready Register
  3. Risk Rocket

Child list

To Add to or change a class list:

  1. Open the classList file (see image on left).
  2. Delete all unwanted names.
  3. Type in new names and press Return to go to a new line.
  4. Finally save your revised list via:
    File > Save
  5. Now open the Ready Register 2010 and your new names and their alliterative images will be shown.

You may find unexpected alliterative images are chosen for irregular names, e.g. Charlotte has a shark image, which is correct, but not as you might expect. If you find that the image you get for a particular child is incorrect please email me using the email address listed at the bottom of this page and we can add the new name to the resource.

If you have an error message about the size of the class please note that this resource is limited to class sizes of 30 or less.

Risk Rocket

Risk Rocket:

After Plan, Do and Review, why not run the Risk Rocket and ask five children to fly their rocket up high if they tried something really new and risky, or down low if they do it all of the time.

Press your rocket to start its engine, then move the joystick in the middle of the screen.
