Involving Children & Young People in Recruitment and Selection :
This guide aims to provide practitioners, managers and strategic bodies with information regarding the reasons and legislation as to why organisations and institutions working with children & young people should involve them in recruitment and selection process.
Links to research covering participatory practice as well as research on recruitment and selection have been incorporated within this document, allowing managers and practitioners to make an informed decision that is both relevant and adaptable to their organisational policies and strategic direction.
Involving Children & Young People Recruitment and Selection:
This toolkit aims to provide practitioners with the practical tools, resources and information to involve children & young people in the recruitment and selection process.
It aims to bring together a set of ideas and methods to allow practitioners to begin building or expanding their own processes. These resources include training materials for children & young people and materials to support children & young people in assessing and making their selection.
This poster is a visual reminder to organisations working with or for children & young people. Place it on your wall or under your keyboard on your desk to remind you and others that children & young people can and should be involved in the full decision making process from start to finish. This poster will give you ideas that you can expand on for the types of decisions/practical activities that children & young people can be involved in.
KCT strategic review 2011 - key findings and recommendations on future arrangements
Following a thorough review including interviews with some County Board members and a survey of other local authority trust arrangements we have developed a proposal for a revised KCT County Board. The following papers set out the review findings and the proposal for moving forward:
