Children and Young People's Plan

Needs Assessment 2011-2014

 

A comprehensive needs assessment is required to inform the priorities of any Children

and Young People's Plan (CYPP).  In line with statutory requirements at the time,

the needs assessment was conducted under the five Every Child Matters

(ECM) outcome headings.

The updated Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) for Children in Kent (December 2010) is now available on the Kent & Medway Public Health Observatory website: http://www.kmpho.nhs.uk/population-groups/children/jsna-2010/

The JSNA is designed to help identify local issues and inform decisions about how to advance the health and welfare of children and young people.  It includes research, data and analysis in chapters around the following themes:

  • Health Inequalities during Childhood and Youth
