Needs Assessments

The  2011 - 2014 Children and Young People's Plan Needs Assessment was produced to inform the priorities of the Plan.  The 2010 Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) focuses primarily on children's health and wellbeing.

Indicator toolkit

The toolkit covers a total of 59 indicators.  Many of the indicators are drawn from the old National Indicator Set (NIS), but have been complemented by a number of additional measures that are felt to be of relevance.  For each indicator (and where data is available) analysis is provided of County performance versus, national and statistical neighbours, individual District and previous LCSP performance and performance for key sub-groups. 

Kent CYP survey

In 2008 and 2010 KCC with partners' support, conducted surveys of pupils' views and behaviours covering a wide range of issues.  About 40,000 children and young people took part each time providing a wealth of information at county, locality and school level.  The findings have been used to assist with planning, policy and performance review.
