Living Things Explorers
Another exciting and hands-on learning experience for all children!
The Centre has a well-designed and secure wildlife area that allows the children many opportunities to survey and study a range of species of plants and animals. In addition, there is the opportunity to investigate the vast array of living things that can be found in the nearby River Darent. Comparisons can be made between the animals and plants that can be found in these habitats.
Secondary evidence can be used (such as video) to study the badgers and birds that live in this area. The Centre is also well equipped with a range of electronic and other resources that will allow the children to observe the organisms in closer detail, as well as finding out more about them. different habitats.
These facilities will enable children to learn about many aspects of Sc2, including: naming and comparing features of animals and plants, investigating adaptation, discovering food chains, and finding out more about the life processes of a range of different living things.
