Inside Track from Kent’s External Funding Unit

The latest edition of Inside Track produced by the KCC External Funding Unit contains information on national, regional and local sources of funding. External funding is money obtained through bids to money-granting organisations such as the National Lottery distributors, government departments and charitable trusts and foundations. For KCC this is money in addition to its main budget.

During 2008-09 KCC successfully bid for more than £5.5m of external funds and during 2008 (calendar year) the voluntary and community sector in Kent received over £9m from the National Lottery distributors alone. Services for VCS groups

KCC’s external funding team co-ordinates and supports the development of bids by internal colleagues and local partners for external funding to enhance and develop quality services for Kent.

We have a range of services available to support voluntary and community groups with bid development and funding. These include:
