The Young Parents Coordinator supports getting young parents back into education, employment or training.

As young parents often have complex needs, we offer support around any issue that may be a barrier to young parents engaging in education, employment or training (such as housing, benefits, contact issues and more). We understand that in order to empower and enable young parents into achieving positive outcomes for themselves and their children, they may need support and guidance first.

We also act as a point of contact for information regarding young parents, for professionals and organisations that have contact with them.

If you need to refer a young parent to us, e-mail lauraine.wood@kent.gov.uk and we will send you a referral form. We accept referrals from professionals and organisations (such as schools) as well as self referrals.
