Training Resource on Promoting Healthier Lunchboxes

This online resource has been developed to increase the number of successful healthy lunchbox workshops delivered in Kent.  It has been designed for staff supporting parents and carers in schools but can also be used in a variety of community or workplace settings.

This resource includes key healthy eating messages suitable for primary school age children, as well as ideas on how workshops might be run and adapted to suit different audiences.

Aim:

To increase the knowledge and skills of parents preparing healthy lunches for their primary school aged children.

Healthier lunchbox workshops provide an opportunity to:

  • Engage parents and carers or families
  • Help to improve food choices
  • Promote healthy eating habits
