Keeping safe on the internet

You and your friends probably use the internet quite a lot. You may even have heard some stories on the news about some of the dangers children and young people can face when using the internet. But by sticking to some simple guidelines, it's easy for you and your friends to stay safe on the net. This is called "e-safety".

Here in Kent, we use a scheme called "Thinkuknow" and you can visit their website to get more information about how to keep safe online. Choose your age group from the list below:

• I am between 8 and 10 years old
• I am between 11 and 16 years old

If your parents or carers are worried about you being safe on the internet, they can read about Kent's e-safety scheme on the public website.
