Do you think you or someone you know might be privately fostered?
If you are under 16 (or 18, if you are disabled) and your parent(s) have asked someone to look after you for 28 days or more this is called private fostering. The person who looks after you is called a private foster carer.
The law says that if you are being privately fostered, your parents or your private foster carer must tell Kent Children’s Social Services about this. This is because Kent Children’s Social Services needs to make sure you are being properly looked after.
