
Our Main Responsibilities
The Inclusion and Achievement Advisers provide professional advice and support to schools, LCSPs and the LA focusing on the improvement of the quality of provision for pupils (0-19) who are vulnerable to underachievement.
We provide support and challenge as School Improvement Partners within the national framework in Special Schools, Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) and Primary Schools.
We advise and support other divisions within Children, Families and Education Directorate on issues relating to inclusion and compliance with SEN and equalities legislation, including the development of County policies.

We offer centrally and locally delivered courses to school leaders and governors. Currently we have on offer:
- Senco Induction (Primary and Secondary)
- Arrange core modules of SEN leadership delivered centrally and through Local Learning Networks
- Middle leaders in Special Schools
- Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP)
- A range of training opportunities for Gifted and Talented provision
We also provide access to advanced nationally accredited Senco training delivered through Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU), Enabling Learning Department.
