“Teenage Cancer Trust’s resource is based on a fully interactive teenage magazine and seeks to engage students in a dialogue regarding the issues surrounding teenage cancer. It has been created to fit within the English Language and new Personal Learning and Thinking Skills criteria at the heart of the new curriculum. It is ideal for KS3 and KS4 and offers teachers and young people a fully supported, unique and invaluable learning context complete with full teaching notes and lesson plans.

The resource places cancer within the context of day to day teen life and provides information about facts and fiction and who to talk to regarding the issue of cancer. The resource is most effective following the delivery of one of our FREE talks. The talks last around an hour and are aimed at Year 9 and above. They cover all the issues surrounding cancer including signs and symptoms, treatment, emotional support and healthy living. The service is always well received and is a great introduction to classes based on the learning resource. If you are interested in our talks then please contact the education team on 020 7612 0370 or email education@teenagecancertrust.org.”
