This is a drop-in group that combines skills learnt in baby yoga with singing.

Crawlers

This drop-in group is designed for antenatal parents and parents with babies under 12 months.  During the group there are a variety of services available to you including:

  • A Health Visitors Clinic
    Trained professionals are on hand including a Midwifery Assistant and Community Nursery Nurse.  Come along and have your baby weighed and access advice and breastfeeding support.
     

  • Baby Massage Sessions
    Places are available on a first come first served basis.  Baby massage promotes baby’s wellbeing and encourages bonding and attachment.  It can also help with minor ailments such as colic.  Please bring with you 2 towels, a clean nappy, a milk feed and a pre-tested oil (olive is recommended).
      

  • Messy Play and Heuristic Play Baskets
    Messy Play and Heuristic play baskets give your baby the chance to play with a wide variety of materials.  This encourages your baby to explore, promoting brain development.

Messy Play for Under 1's

This is a 5 week course starting on Tuesday 10th January. The course has a limited number of spaces so please book early!! And we also advise to ‘’wear suitable dress to make a mess’’!!

 Midwife Antenatal Clinics

Antenatal Clinics are held weekly at the Village.  All appointments are made through your Midwife.  It’s also a chance for you to come and see what else the Village has to offer.

Teenage Parents (YAPS+)

This is a drop-in group for teenage parents and parents to be.  Come along for a coffee and chat and a chance for your children to play.  We also have a shared lunch and organise cooking and craft sessions.  Information is also available about other services at the Village and locally.

Antenatal Class

Regular antenatal classes are run by Midwives at the Village.  These classes will prepare you for childbirth and the care of your new baby.  Topics covered include labour, pelvic floor exercises, breastfeeding, baby hygiene and much more.  Your Midwife will be able to give you more information.

Breastfeeding Support Group

This is a friendly drop-in group providing a meeting place for breastfeeding mothers and their babies.  Come along and receive support and advice from other mums and our Midwifery Assistant.  We also offer advice and support for pregnant mums wanting to breastfeed or who wish to find out more.  This informal group is held in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
