Home Safety Scheme  

'Keep us Safe' is a low cost home safety equipment scheme run by the Riverside Children's Centre for families caring for a child or children under 5 and live in the SureStart area.  The service is also available to expectant mothers.

Families can buy top quality safety equipment at cost price.  Products that are available include: fire guards, window locks, cupboard and draw catches, socket covers, home safety starter kits and door jammers.

Fire Safety
We have made links with White Watch at Canterbury Fire Station, who have so far visited some of the groups to talk about fire safety and the Free Home Fire Safety Checks they offer.  They will come and vist your home and will fit FREE of charge smoke alarms where necessary. If you would like to have a Home Fire Safety Check then please  contact Canterbury Fire Station on 01227 825530 or look out for when they come and visit more of the groups in the Autumn.  For more information visit Kent Fire & Rescue Service website or to arrange your Home Fire Safety Check
