Riverside Children's Centre

We are a SureStart Childrens Centre.  We provide information and offer access to services for families with young children aged 0-5 years in the local community.  Children's Centres are part of a Government initiative to combine early education with day care and a number of other services for families with young children under one roof. Our services include:

• health and breastfeeding
• play sessions
• a qualified teacher
• a health visitor
• an outreach team

Our catchment area covers:

• Hales Place
• Spring Lane Estate
• Northgate Ward (including Sturry Road, Poets Estate, Vauxhall Road, Querns Road, Howe  Barracks and North Holmes Road
• St Stephens

So if you live in any of the above areas and have at least one child under 5 or are expecting a baby then get in contact with us and we will send you a registration pack.There are many different activities for children and their families at the centre including:

• Sign & Rhyme
• Polish toddler group
• Music Group
• Saturday family group with use of the nursery garden.
