Sewing Group Success in Sandhurst
This is an update from Sheila Sparks (volunteer) on our six enjoyable weeks at the sewing group at Sandhurst nursery school.
"To start with we all got to know how our sewing machine works and what amazing things we could do, such as applique and quilting, apart from basic stitching and sigzag stitching. As you can see from the photographs over the following weeks our confidence grew and we made lovely things such as P.E bags little girls dresses and shoes, cushions and cute soft toys such as a gingerbread man, a pair of mice and a cuddly pony.
Why not join us and learn how to read patterns, do invisible hand stitching, put in zips, button holes, mending and taking up your hems among other things. It's not just sewing either, as we make new friends, exchange ideas and various tips over coffee while the children play nearby".

Comments from the Group:
