Welcome to Birchington & Villages Children's Centre

Our aims are to support, encourage and inspire children, families and the local community to be healthy, stay safe, enjoy and achieve, make a positive contribution and achieve economic wellbeing.
We work with multi-agency partnerships to develop local services for children under 5 and their families.

Our services include:
We also offer outreach services and our Community Involvement Workers work as a team across both Centres. They are a friendly face and an excellent source of knowledge on the local area and the support available.
If you would like to register with the Centre, find out more about the services on offer or just have a look around then please contact us or you can view our monthly Activity Schedule with up to date information on which services are available.
We aim to ensure our services are as inclusive as possible. If you need any help to access services or have additional needs, please contact us to find out how we can help.

Parent's Forum
The Parent's Forum is where parents and caeres can get involved in decision making within the Children's Centre. We have an elected committee of parents who organise the Forum, which is now recognised as a constituted group. We meet once a month to discuss ideas on what has worked or suggestions on how to improve. It is very friendly and informal and all parents are welcome.
Some parents just come along to the meetings, while others get involved with fund raising or attending Steering Group and Advisory Board meetings to represent parents. Last year the Parent's Forum raised money which was put towards a summer trip for families as well as providing other resources to benefit both the parents and children who use the Children's Centre.
To find out more, please contact the Children's Centre or come along to our next meeting. There is a free creche available but spaces are limited to please book in advance. The next Parent's Forum meeting is on Tuesday 24th January; 1.30 - 3pm
