Edexcel GCSE in Applied French

This qualification in now out of pilot and is generally available. New centres should register with Edexcel who will want to ensure the necessary ICT provision exists for the on-screen listening and reading tests.

Key Stage 4

The current requirement that languages offered at Key Stage 4 must include at least one EU language will not apply from September, in line with changes at Key Stage 3.

Asset Languages

Asset Languages is a new way of motivating language learners and rewarding their language skills. The Asset Languages assessment scheme is for language learners of all ages and abilities: from primary school through to further, higher and adult education. Asset Languages is the assessment scheme for the DCSF' Languages Ladder and is being developed by Cambridge Assessment through OCR and Cambridge ESOL, as part of the National Languages Strategy
