Basic Skills in Adult Literacy & Numeracy (ALAN)
These are available for pupils in secondary schools, particularly 14-19 students. Edexcel offer online on demand testing at levels 1 and 2. Level 2 qualification counts as Functional Skills.

Basic Skills Agency's Secondary Quality Mark (BSQM)
This is a valuable tool for planning, monitoring and evaluating support for under attaining pupils in English and maths.
