Primary Science - Introduction

News - Outdoor learning training for teachers (24th April 2012)

Due to ongoing changes within KCC authority, Andrew Berry is no longer the teacher adviser for primary science. However, Andrew is still currently employed as the Centre Manager for Horton Kirby Environmental Education Centre. As part of this new role, Andrew can be hired by schools to provide science support. Having had seven years experience as a primary science adviser, Andrew is in a good position to offer training opportunities to all members of staff, as well a variety of other forms of support; including working alongside the science leader, modelling science lessons and monitoring the standard of science teaching and learning.

You can contact Andrew at hkeec@kent.gov.uk

The primary science webpages aim to keep teachers up-to-date with strategies for improving standards in science. Many resources relating to assessment can be found here, as well as examples of children's work and resources to support the children's learning. It will also be a place to find out about training opportunties, primary science county conference and competitions. Please feel free to contact Andrew Berry about any other news, projects or suggestions for resources. Boy with Bottle
