Introduction

Welcome to the South West Kent Local Learning Network (SWK LLN) page. We aim to provide advice and local CPD opportunities to all school based staff within the network.

The Primary LLN is currently made up of the Primary Excellence Headteachers (PEP Head) from each of the 4 Local Childrens Services Partnerships (LCSPs) and the LLN Project Officer

The Secondary LLN currently sits alongside the West Kent Learning Federation Training School (WKLF), with representation from the Senior Secondary Advisor and LLN Project Officer. The WKLF is a unique partnership of 17 secondary schools, 3 special schools and 2 Further Education colleges. Its diversity is unparalleled, with selective, non-selective, single gender and co-educational schools. Six of the WKLF schools: Angley, Cranbrook, Hayesbrook, Hugh Christie, Mascalls and Weald of Kent were successful in securing Training School (TS) status in 2004. Both groups meet on a regular basis, and it is agreed that representation from each group will meet up at least once per year to share information and good practice. Please contact Clarissa Tames for further information, or to have information added to this site.
