Support Staff Teaching & Learning Conference 2010 - Thursday 11th March Thistle Hotel, Brands Hatch
This is a not to be missed inspiring conference aimed at all support staff who support teaching and learning.
**********LLN Subscription Service**********
All Primary and Special schools in the NWK LLN will have received a letter from their Local Childrens Services Partnership Manager outlining the option for schools to subscribe to this service for a minimal charge of £20 per month, starting in April 2010. This will give all staff from those schools the opportunity to attend all LLN CPD - click here for further details.

Headteachers and Deputy Headteachers from Dartford West were joined by senior leaders from the other three partnerships in the Local Learning Network for a conference on "Mantle of the Expert".
The "Mantle of the Expert" is a dramatic-inquiry based approach to teaching and learning invented and developed by Professor Dorothy Heathcote at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in the 1980's. The big idea is that the class do all their curriculum work as if they are an imagined group of experts. More.......

| On Tuesday 2nd February 2010 31 teachers from 21 Dartford schools and one from Gravesend embarked on an animation project hosted at Longfield Academy. Teachers from Nursery classes to year 8 all worked collaboratively to learn how animation could be used to engage children & help raise standards. | |
