The Role of the Subject Leader

This booklet has been prepared to support the role of subject leaders at all stages of their development. It is hoped that it will provide a useful starting point for teachers embarking on their second year of teaching, staff that are taking on a new subject leader role and will provide a useful self evaluation tool for experienced subject leaders. The text of the booklet is supplemented by comprehensive appendices which provide a range of materials including useful proformas which can be adapted by individual schools.
