BLP Learning Networks
These offer teachers the opportunity to share their ideas and experiences and discuss barriers to further development. Host schools share their learning and planned activities allow teachers to think about next steps. Meetings are open to all teachers whether at the beginning or having been using BLP approaches for a while.
| Developing a whole school approach to Building Learning Power Staplehurst Primary School Following whole staff training in September, we carried out learning surveys with our children and introduced a language for learning. We encouraged the children to think about strategies they could use to help themselves to become more independent learners. | ![]() |
| Reciprocity Throughout term 2 we focussed on reciprocity, we felt this was the easiest to access as teachers, allowing people to feel more confident about delivery and ensuring a cross curricular approach. | ![]() |
| Resourcefulness We began this term with a resourcefulness week where we set up a range of opportunities for the children to explore how they could be resourceful. This led onto a more structured approach through weaving BLP into our established curriculum. | ![]() |
