The Secondary Transformation Team (SecTT)contributes expertise to support schools to implement the Kent Secondary Strategy and the major national initiative to Build Schools for the Future. SecTT headteachers will work with local groups of headteachers in Gravesend, Thanet, Swale and Dover/Deal/Shepway to develop a collaborative educational vision for each area that will deliver personalised learning, innovative curriculum provision and learning environments of the future.
SecTT headteachers lead new headteacher induction programmes and are developing revised leadership programmes. Some headteachers are also School Improvement Partners or provide Executive Headship. Members of the team help to develop the education visions for the emerging academies and federations.
The Primary Excellence Project (PEP) enables experienced headteachers to work with school based colleagues, enhancing the capacity for improvement. The team promotes networking, collaboration, sharing of good practice between primary schools and working with Cluster Boards to implement local improvement initiatives. PEP Headteachers support schools and clusters by dividing their time into three priorities:-
