Functional ICT
The national pilot for Functional ICT started in September 2007. Several schools in Kent are taking part and have attended three days of training which focussed on the expected outcomes for Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2 and on the organisation and collaboration required for centres undertaking this, as part of preparation for the introduction of the Diploma Lines in 2008. Schools taking part have been recruited in several ways, either, because they are involved with a collaborative which will offer Diplomas from 2008, because they have been invited to take part by QCA or they are involved in an exam board pilot.
