New Programme of Study for ICT

The ICT content can be downloaded from National Curriculum Online.

The document sets out the content for ICT at KS4 including explanatory notes giving examples of how pupils can be given opportunities to work at the level expected at Key Stage 4. The Key Stage 4 National Curriculum in ICT is statutory but may be embedded in other curriculum subjects and KS4 courses.

Functional Skills

The pilot for Functional ICT started in September 2007 for schools who will have students following a diploma course from September 2008. Schools which are not involved in the Diploma pilot can join awarding body pilots and should contact those bodies for information.
