In design and technology pupils combine practical and technological skills with creative thinking to design and make products and systems that meet human needs. They learn to use current technologies and consider the impact of future technological developments. This is an annual award given to a school that has made a significant contribution to the development of the Design and Technology Community in Kent.
| 2005-2006 | Maidstone Girls Grammar School. The D&T department has developed a range of CAD/CAM courses for primary school pupils. |
