ICT Strategic Plan 2005 - 2010
Aiming for Excellence in ICT
The ICT Strategic Plan 2005 - 2010 aims to shape the future of learning in Kent for the next five years. Our cluster model and the Kent Community Network have already successfully begun the essential elements of school, teacher, pupil, parent and community collaboration. The strategic plan sets policy proposals from the DCSF Five Year Plan for Children and Learners against a Kent context and aims to provide SMT with a solid platform for collaboration, ICT development and continual assessment. The main priorities of the strategy are: - Attainment: Using ICT to raise standards by exciting, motivating and engaging learners
- Collaboration: Effective collaboration between learning partners founded on effective communication
- Transforming Schools: Developing a new relationship between home and school, the teacher and the taught
- School & Community: Organising schools around the needs of their learning communities
- Partnership: Working with multinational companies for the benefit of Kent schools
