Introduction to Property Group
In April 2001 following a Best Value review the in-house unit Kent Property Services (KPS) was outsourced to partner organisations. This included Building Design and Maintenance and the following year Estate Management and Environment Consultancy Services. A team was retained to oversee these contracts and develop a proactive approach to the way in which KCC's assets are managed and developed. The services provided by Property Group (including the work provided by suppliers and consultants) are measured against set quality standards, by liasing with clients and monitoring key performance and best value indicators. This is to ensure high levels of service are provided. Where necessary, performance improvement plans are developed and implemented to improve service delivery.
