| CFE Policy Overview and Scrutiny Committees |
The CFE Directorate has three Policy Overview and Scrutiny Committees (POSCs), which work with officers to develop, monitor and review services for children and young people in Kent. Each POSC has its own Chair, who is responsible for setting the agendas for each meeting:
Resources and Infrastructure POSC Chair: Cllr. Chris Capon
Learning and Development POSC Chair: Cllr. Kit Smith
Vulnerable Children and Partnerships POSC Chair: Cllr. Ann Allen

Please note: this document will be continually updated as agenda items are agreed.
Writing a Report for a Policy Overview and Scrutiny Committee:
1. Officers writing a report for a POSC meeting should answer the key questions set out in the Members' Report Request Template (further information below). This template will be made available to officers once an agenda item has been agreed, and should be discussed with your Director as soon as possible to agree the content for your report.
2. Officers should write their report in the POSC Report Template below, which offers further guidance on content, format and length. This template includes a cover sheet, which officers should ensure their Director completes before submitting a paper to the CFE Policy Team.
3. Deadlines for submitting papers for each POSC meeting are set out in the Meeting Schedule above.

Requesting an Item for a Policy Overview and Scrutiny Committee:
All Members wishing to request an item for a POSC meeting should complete the Report Request Template and submit this to the relevant POSC Chair. This form captures the key questions that Members would like officers to address in their report and sets the brief for the agenda item. Report Requests will be considered by the POSC Chairs at the relevant Agenda Setting Meetings.
