The Centre
Accommodation
Health and Safety
Health and Safety is of paramount importance at the Centre. On your arrival, the Centre Manager will cover all issues, including the fire drill, during the welcome talk, which is given to all visitors. The grounds and buildings are safe and regularly inspected. Group leaders are responsible for their group, and school leaders should maintain good supervision of their young people at all times.
It is recommended that a member of your party should be qualified in first aid, and it is helpful if there is a French speaker in the group. The Centre is equipped with first aid boxes, but it is essential that groups carry their own for off-site visits. Should it be necessary, medical assistance can be provided by the local GP, close to the Centre, or at the nearest hospital in Boulogne.
Please advise us of any medical condition, special need or dietary requirement prior to your stay.
For school groups, the Outdoor Education Unit must be contacted before booking your stay at the Centre. Tel: 01580 715854 or email: outdoor.education@kent.gov.uk
If it is not approved by the LEA, the visit may be cancelled.
It is strongly recommended that you make a pre-visit to the Centre, which can be arranged by contacting the Centre (contact details above)
