The Commission champions equality and human rights for all, working to eliminate discrimination, reduce inequality, protect human rights and to build good relations, ensuring everyone has a fair chance to participate in society - Women and Equality Unit (part of Government Equalities Office)
The Unit takes on responsibility for the Government’s overall strategy and priorities on equality issues. It is responsible for policy on gender equality, including the Minster for Women’s priorities and sexual orientation. - The Women’s National Commission
