  • Equality and Human Rights Commission
    The Commission champions equality and human rights for all, working to eliminate discrimination, reduce inequality, protect human rights and to build good relations, ensuring everyone has a fair chance to participate in society
  • Women and Equality Unit (part of Government Equalities Office)
    The Unit takes on responsibility for the Government’s overall strategy and priorities on equality issues. It is responsible for policy on gender equality, including the Minster for Women’s priorities and sexual orientation.
  • The Women’s National Commission
    The Commission is the official, independent, advisory body giving the views of women to the Government ensuring their views are taken into account and are heard in public debate.
  • Mermaids 
    Family support group for children and teenagers with gender identity issues. Raises awareness about gender issues amongst professionals and the general public and campaigns for recognition of this issue.
  • The Gender Trust 
     The largest registered charity which helps adults throughout the UK who are transsexual, gender dysphoric, transgender, or those whose lives are affected by gender identity issues.
