The Data Collection and Quality Assurance section of the Management Information team process a wide range of pupil contextual and assessment data, manage a county pupil database and associated modules, and complete a number of statutory returns to the DCSF. These include the September Pupil Count, Pupil Level Annual Schools Census (PLASC), Early Years headcount and Key Stage Data Collections. The Data Analysis and Performance section of the Management Information team produces a wide range of pupil and school performance information. This includes Making Figures Speak for Themselves, Value Added Analysis, information to aid target setting, and information for advisers and senior officers. In addition, we provide training and seminars for schools on effective use of data, value added, data for target setting, and the use of electronic systems for storing and reporting assessment data. We also offer consultancy.
